Joanie was engaged to my brother Vern before he left for Vietnam. He was killed there so they never married. I thank God she met Vance. He was so much like my brother. I know they loved each other dearly. She was loved like a sister and will be missed. Padiddle! Private joke.

Joanie was such a good friend to me when I moved to Ogilvie two years ago and joined her at Dandelion. I will miss our heart to hearts, all of her support and amazing advice. She taught me how to be strong and encouraged me to face my fears, as she’s had to do over the years. I will never forget her and her kind and loving presence. She was a true friend and she will always be in my heart. My condolences to everyone in her family. Rest in Peace, Joanie.
