Eugene Studt, of Stanchfield, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at his home. He was 81 years old.
FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Braham with Rev. Steve Anderson officiating.
VISITATION will be held from 5-8 pm on Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Rock Ingebrand Funeral Home in Braham and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
INTERMENT will be in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery near Rush City.
Eugene Edward Studt, of Stanchfield, passed away tragically on February 2, 2014 at his home. He was 81 years old.
Eugene was born on December 23, 1932 in Braham, Minnesota to parents Paul and Mable (Setterlund) Studt. He attended the Braham High School, graduating in 1950. In 1953, Eugene joined the United States Army and served at Fort Sill in Oklahoma until his discharge in 1955.
On April 16, 1955, Eugene was united in marriage to Lucille Ann Stahnke in Braham, Minnesota. The couple was blessed with three children: Sandra, Barbara, and Steven.
In 1956 Eugene began his 37 year career working at Flint Hills Resources. After his retirement in 1993, he and Lucille moved back to Braham. Eugene spent his remaining years on the farm he loved, doing his favorite pastime, tending to his many gardens. He will be dearly missed.
Eugene is preceded in death by wife Lucille, parents, and sister Shirley Kline.
He is survived by children: Sandra (Harry) Lawver, Barbara (Gordon) Royce, and Steven (JoAnne) Studt; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother Rodger (Elaine) Studt; and sister-in-law, Eleanor (Leo) Anderson.
Funeral Service was held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Braham with Rev. Steve Anderson officiating. Music was provided by Carol Schmakel. Casket Bearers were Gordy Royce, Ben Royce, Harry Lawver, Joe Kiel, Bryan Johnson, Tim Studt, and Scott Gay. Interment was at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery near Rush City.
