J. Sundberg Web PhotoJean Sundberg, of Champlin, formerly of Mora, died on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Champlin.   She was 96 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Hillman Baptist Church in Mora with Rev. Allen Travaille officiating.

VISITATION will be held two hours prior to the service on Thursday at the church; starting at 11:00 a.m.

INTERMENT will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.

Jean D. Sundberg, of Champlin, formerly of Mora, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Champlin.  She was 3 days shy of her 97th birthday.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Louise (Corrin) West; husband, John C. Sundberg; infant son, Billy.

She is survived by her children, Phyllis Schoenrock, Ruth (Kenneth) Neal, Barb (Leroy) Hanson, Stanley (Eileen) Sundberg, Karin (Jim) McMahon, Jeanie (Tom) Tone, Carole LaBerge (Dan Johnson), Renee Huser, and John Mark (Jennifer) Sundberg; 20 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other loving relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Hillman Baptist Church in Mora with Rev. Allen Travaille officiating.  A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Thursday at the church.  Music is provided by Kenneth Neal, Jodi Anderson, Jim Hill, and Gene and Jan Elvehjem.  Casket Bearers are Jean’s grandsons: Robin Schoenrock, Todd Stone, Jason Neal, Daniel Hanson, Douglas Hanson, John Sundberg, Marc Sundberg, Curt McMahon, Andy Tone, Sam Tone, Derek LaBerge, and Ty Huser.  Interment is in the Oakwood Cemetery of Mora.

    I am so sorry to hear of your loss. She was a wonderful, loving mother and kind to classmates of her kids.

    I will treasure the recipe she gave me for pizza buns!
