Mark Mayer of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, surrounded by family and friends. He was 45 years old.
MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13th at Braham Ev. Covenant Church in Braham with Rev. Steve Jennisch officiating.
VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service (from 10:00-11:00 a.m.) on Saturday at the church.
Mark William Mayer, of Cambridge, formerly of Princeton and Braham, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, surrounded by family and friends. He was 45 years old.
Mark was born on October 3, 1967 in Cambridge, Minnesota to William “Bill” and MilaAnn Mayer. He graduated from Westview High School in Braham and Anoka Technical College. Mark worked in the optical field for over 20 years. He enjoyed sports, snowmobiling, and muscle cars. Mark was especially proud of his 1968 Chevelle SS convertible.
Mark spoke often of his friends. He was loved by all. He always had a smile and never had a bad time. He is so loved and will be truly missed. At his nearing the end of his life, Jesus was waiting and welcomed him with open arms saying, “You will be at peace now and will have no more suffering.”
We love you, Mark, with all our hearts. You will always be a part of our lives. Rest in Peace. We will meet up with you some day in heaven.
Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo and Augusta Mayer, Miles and Anna Rose Varichak. He is survived by his wife, Julie; his two precious children, Kenzie Nicole and Kelden Charles; parents, William and MilaAnn; sisters, Mary (Micheal) Lundgren and Mona (Kevin) Bettencourt; nieces and nephews: Nick, Derrick, Bonnie Jo, Mason, and Eden; aunts, uncles, cousins; dear and special friends that he grew up with in Braham, other friends that he met along the way.
