Marvin Stromberg died on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Eastwood Assisted Living Center in Mora.  He was 81 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICES will be held on Saturday, April 6th at 11:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church in Mora with Rev. Harry Nelson officiating.

VISITATION will be on Friday, April 5th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, plus one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

INTERMENT will be at Braham Mission Covenant Cemetery.

Marvin LeRoy Stromberg of Mora, Minnesota, passed away on April 1, 2013.  He was 81 years old.

Marvin was born July 16, 1931 in Milwaukee, WI to Adolph and Mabel (Kleven) Stromberg.  He grew up on the family farm, the eldest of 3 boys.  He attended Braham High School and graduated in 1949.  After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army.  He served his country as a driver, stationed in Panama, from January 12, 1954 to December 24, 1955.  He was then transferred to Reserve Component until his Honorable Discharge on December 31, 1961. 

On July 28, 1956 he and Donna Jane Nelson were wed at the Methodist Church in Mora.  To this union 3 children were born.  Marvin and Donna made their home in the Mora area to raise their family.  Marvin was employed at Findell Cement as a mason during his working career. 

Marvin was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mora.  His hobbies included tinkering in his garage and farming.  Marvin loved to spend time having coffee and visiting with family and friends.  He enjoyed watching the grandchildren play sports.  In the later years Marvin and Donna enjoyed camping with relatives.  Marvin was always ready and willing to help family and friends.  He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.  He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife Donna of Mora; sons Gary (Pam) of Isanti and Craig (LaRae Van Hale) of Mora; daughter Lori (Terry) Haavisto of Hinckley; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers Curt (Julie) of Braham and Ronald (Arlene) of Fridley; plus nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Marvin was a great person whom my mother and I enjoyed visiting and having some coffee with in our trips to Minnesota. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
