Jeffrey Harms, of Mora, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, March 27, 2013.  He was 53 years old.

VISITATION will be held on Monday, April 1st from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home.

BURIAL will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.

Jeffrey Clayton Harms, of Mora, Minnesota, passed away on March 27, 2013. He was 53 years old.  Jeff was born on March 16, 1960 in Mora, Minnesota to Clayton and Doris Harms. He was the third of five children. He grew up on the family farm where he developed an early love of farming and the outdoors. Jeff attended school in Mora, graduating from Mora High School in 1978. After high school, Jeff attended Anoka Vocational Technical College to study agriculture. He returned home after vocational school to work on the family farm and soon became a partner in the business. Jeff took over running the family farm after his father passed away in 1999. In those rare moments when he wasn’t busy with farm work, Jeff enjoyed many outdoor activities. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also had a love of motorcycles, ATVs, and snowmobiles. He shared his love of the outdoors with his nieces and nephews, always making time to include them.  Jeff was very dedicated to his farm, family, friends, and neighbors. He was generous with his time and willing to help out in any way he could. Jeff will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father. Jeff is survived by his mother Doris Harms of Mora; his brother Brian (Marina) of Shoreview; sisters Denise (William) Keller, Debra Harms, and Lynn Harms of Mora; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
