Lester Krugen, Grace Pointe Crossing in Cambridge, died on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. He was 93 years old.
MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Rock Ingebrand Funeral Home of Braham with Rev. Dale Cope officiating.
MEMORIAL VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
INURNMENT will be held in the spring at the Stanchfield Baptist Cemetery.
Lester Krugen, of Cambridge, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at GracePointe Crossing West Gables in Cambridge. He was 93 years old.
Lester was born on April 12, 1919 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to parents George and Marie (Solberg) Krugen. As a young child, Lester and the family moved to Minneapolis and in 1929 moved to a farm in the Coin area west of Braham, Minnesota. Lester attended the Seward Country School in Grass Lake Township. Lester was confirmed in 1936 at the Braham Lutheran Church.
In 1958, Lester moved to Minneapolis where he was employed at Northwestern Bell, Northwestern Engineering, and Med Tek until retiring in 1992. In July of 1959 Lester was united in marriage to Corrine Paskett. She passed away on July 13, 1985.
In 1992, Lester returned to Braham and became a resident of the Park Manor Apartments. On September 16, 1995 Lester was united in marriage to Doris Allen, also a resident of Park Manor.
Lester enjoyed watching baseball and football games, always supporting his Minnesota teams. In his younger years, Lester enjoyed fishing. He will be missed by his loving wife, family and friends.
Lester was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Corrine, brothers Kenneth, Grant, Melvin, and his twin Leonard; sister Isabelle.
He is survived by his wife Doris, step-children Duane Paskett; Ron (Eileen) Allen; Darrel (Ceil) Allen; Wanda (Steve) Points; and Lori (Rick) Turner; as well as step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Rock Ingebrand Funeral Home of Braham with Rev. Dale Cope officiating. Music was provided by Isaac Dunnick and Kathy Points. Inurnment will be held in the spring at the Stanchfield Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Rock Ingebrand Funeral Home of Braham.
