Lorraine Alma Vanderberg, of Ogilvie, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the St. Clare Living Community in Mora. She was 77 years old.
A PRIVATE FUNERAL SERVICE was held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home of Mora with Pastor Le Edwards officiating.
VISITATION was held 1 hour prior to the service.
INTERMENT was in the Graceland Cemetery in Ogilvie.
Lorraine Alma Vanderberg, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013 surrounded by her family at the St. Clare Living Community in Mora. She was 77 years old.
Lorraine Burmeister was born on July 11, 1935 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to parents William Henry and Alma Floretta (Thompson) Burmeister. She graduated from high school in 1953 and then earned a RN nursing degree from the Swedish Hospital. Throughout her years, she worked at Kanabec Hospital and local nursing homes. In 1959 she was united in marriage to Henry “Joe”. Joesph Vanderberg Jr. Together they were blessed with six children.
Lorraine loved bringing her kids and neighborhood kids to Sunday School and Bible School. She loved attending church and Bible studies. Her fondest memories of childhood were attending Trout Lake Bible Camp, where she came to know the Lord. Her faith was very important to her. Lorraine loved helping people, caring for patients, and spending time with her family.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joe; brother William; and sisters Carol and Marilyn.
She is survived by her sons Robert, David, and William (Holly); daughters Pamela (Jeff) Carlson, Cynthia (Wes) Arends, and Robin (Mike) Saari; 11 grandchildren Kristine Carlson, Linda (Weston) Heuer, Erica (Mike) Vanderberg, Shawna (Saul) Vanderberg, Ashley (Chad) Karlsson, Amy Arends, Erin Saari, Chad Saari, Zachariah (Jess) Vanderberg, Ezekiel (Andrea) Vanderberg and Caleb Vanderberg; great grandchildren Jeffrey and Diana Heuer and Mackenzie Borst; sister Delores (Paul) Kylander; brothers Ken (Annette) Burmeister and Wayne Burmeister; sister-in-law Ann Burmeister; and brother-in-law Leland Schultz; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Private Funeral Service was held on Saturday, January 19th at Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home with Rev. Le Edwards officiating. Casket bearers were Lorraine’s grandchildren. Interment was at Graceland Cemetery in Ogilvie. Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
