BRIAN ALAN MANN

Brian Mann of Mora, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012. He was 57 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICE  will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 6 at Akkerman – Ingebrand Chapel.

VISITATION will be from 5 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday December 5 at Akkerman – Ingebrand Funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday.

INTERMENT will be at 11:30 on Friday December 7, at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery – Assembly Area #2

Brian Alan Mann was born on January 6th 1955 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Eldon and Phyllis (Merkle) Mann.  They lived in Minneapolis until he was the age of 14, when they moved to a farm north of Mora Minnesota.  He then attended Mora High School and graduated in 1973.  In July of 1974 he enlisted in the US Army where he was stationed in Germany until 1976.  He began his career working at Fingerhut in Mora Minnesota as a Mechanic, and this is where he met Donna Arnold.  They were married on September 15th 1979 in Brunswick Minnesota.  They had two children.  He was also employed by Fluegge’s Badger Sales, RKI Construction and the City of Minneapolis where he made many dear friends.   Brian enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing with the “G-Man”. 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Brian is survived by his children: daughter, Jennifer (Jeff) Ollestad of Isanti, son, Johnathan Mann of Mora; his grandchildren, Elizabeth and Allyson;  his brothers, Kevin (Donna) Mann of Mora, Randy (Ellada) Mann of Minneapolis; and sister Holly (Tom) Freehling of Eureka Springs, Arkansas.  Also surviving are two nieces, two nephews and many other family and friends. 

A Funeral service was held on Thursday, December 6th at Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora.  Rev. Bob Bohachek officiated.  Casketbearers were Gary “G-Man” Gall, Kevin Mann, Randy Mann, Jason Mann, Justin Mann and Johnathan Mann.  Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
