Nancy E. Peterson, of Zimmerman, formerly of Braham, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2012 at her home. She was 41 years old.

MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Rich Chronis officiating.

INURNMENT will be in the Rice Lake Cemetery of Braham.

Memorials preferred, in lieu of flowers.

Nancy Ellen Peterson, of Zimmerman, formerly of Braham, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 6, 2012 at her home.  She was 41 years old.

Nancy was born on June 12, 1971 in Braham, Minnesota to parents Edward Warren and Dorothy (Hanson) Peterson. She was baptized and confirmed at the Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church. She attended Braham Schools, graduating in 1989.  Nancy enjoyed school and attended Cambridge Community college for two years before going on to St. Cloud State University.

In 1993, Nancy was blessed with the birth of her daughter, Alysha.  Over the years, Nancy worked several different jobs including the Total and Marathon gas stations and the Columbia Heights DMV.  In more recent years, Nancy was able to spend time helping and caring for her parents in Braham.

Nancy had an adventurous spirit and was never afraid to try new things.  She loved to spend time outside tending to her flower gardens or watching the birds.  She enjoyed time spent making all types of craft projects.  Nancy loved cookbooks and was always trying out a new recipe.   She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Oscar and Ellen Hanson, Edward and Edna Peterson; aunts and uncles; cousin, Keith Erickson.

Nancy is survived by her parents, Warren and Dorothy Peterson; daughter, Alysha Peterson-Sharratt; aunts, Milly Rohlf, Myrt Larson, and Lorine Peterson; friend, Jeremy Watson; several cousins, and other loving family and friends.

  1. So sorry we won’t be there on Sat. I had reschuedled an appointment when we thought it was last week and I can not change it again.
    I can’t image how hard this has been on you two. No one ever expects to out live their children. Hold on to your good memories of Nancy and remember the good times. Love to you both
