Wanetta L. Walberg, of Mora, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012 at the GracePointe Crossing East Gables of Cambridge.  She was 92 years old.
Wanetta was born on December 9, 1919 in Great Falls, Montana to parents Harry and Emma (Reismann) Sanders.  At only 3 years old, Wanetta and the family moved to Siren, Wisconsin where she grew up and attended school.

On June 10, 1952, Wanetta was united in marriage to Leonard G. Walberg.  Together the couple moved to Lino Lakes and Wanetta worked as a cook for the Nativity Convent in St. Paul for the next 14 years.  After the convent was closed, she took a job working for Technical Molding Inc. in Shoreview, where she did injection molding and hot stamping.  In 1985, after retiring, Wanetta and Leonard moved to Mora where they build a new home together.   After Leonard’s death in 1995, Wanetta continued to reside in Mora, until declining heath in the spring of 2012 required the care of GracePointe Crossing in Cambridge.

Wanetta loved tending to her flowers as well as watching the many birds that would visit her gardens and feeders.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching her daily soap operas.  She adored collecting and taking picture from many family events and get-togethers.  Wanetta had a strong inner strength that guided her through many tough times, but also provided her with an enthusiastic joy of life.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Wanetta is preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard, sons Richard and Gary, great grandson Robert Sutliff, sisters Marjorie Lundquist and Angeline Dennis.
She is survived by her sons Robert of Mora, John (Audrey) of Ogilvie, David (Kit) of Mora, and Ed (Chris) Wick of Cornell, WI; daughters Jean Crawford of Virginia Beach, VA; Janet (Mike) Mategko of Blaine, Carol Froemming of Brook Park; sisters Jeanette Smith of Spring Lake Park, and Harriet (James) Nyman of Siren, WI; grandchildren Jean, Janet, Jeannine, Robert, Garrison, Joseph, Sara, Sally, Tausha, Jason, Julie, Jerry, Michael, Lisa, Dennis, Stacy, Craig, Clinton, Bridgget, Carolyn, and Fabrice; Numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
