Michael David Caley, of Mora, died at his home in Mora on Thursday, December 8, 2011. He was 48 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 4PM on Tuesday, December 13,  2011,  at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Mora,  with Rev. Michael Herzog officiating.

VISITATION will be 2 hours prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Michael David Caley, of Mora, Minnesota, passed away at his home on December 8, 2011.  He was 48 years old.

Michael was born on January 25, 1963 in Duluth, Minnesota to Walter and Reeta Caley. Mike was the older brother to sister Lisa and brother Steven. 

As a child, the family lived on military airbases across the country including Duluth, Texas, and New Mexico.  Mike graduated from Jacksonville High School in Arkansas.  After school he enlisted in Army.  He worked as an x-ray technician until he was discharged. In early 2000 Mike and his family moved to the Mora area.

Mike was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Mora. He was also an active member of the Mora Lions Club where he served as President of the Mora Chapter from 2009 to 2010 and currently served as Zone Chairperson for District 5M8. . He enjoyed spending time fishing. Music was a big part of Mike’s life. He loved all types, especially the Grateful Dead. He loved his family.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria and son Coleman.

He is survived by his parents Walter and Reeta, sons; Joseph and James of Minneapolis, daughters; Samantha Caley of Mendota Heights, Tessa and Calli Krein of Mora, brother, Steven D. (Teresa) Caley of ND and sister Lisa Ann Caley of Mankato. Also survived by many other relatives and friends. 

A Memorial Service was held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Mora with Rev. Mike Herzog. Visitation was held from 2-4pm at the Church.  Arrangements were by the Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home of Mora.  Condolences may be posted at www.aifuneralhome.com

  1. I miss you soo much daddy I wish I was there before the fire. I hope you’ve found mommy and Coleman in heaven. I reamber the day we went to the grand casino oh hinkley just the two of us. It was soo much fun swimming with you in the pool. And fun being locked out of our room. :) love you
