Ronayne “Ronnie” Dailson, of Mora, died on Tuesday, September 20 at Golden Living Center, Lake Ridge, in Roseville, MN. She was 80 years old.
FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 24th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mora with Fr. Eugene Plaisted and Rita Clasemann officiating.
VISITATION will be 2 hours prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
Ronayne Ann Dailson (Ronnie) was born on August 31, 1931, in St. Paul, MN to Russell and Dorothy Masters (Schmidt). She grew up in the cities and was the eldest of four children and attended Catholic school. She was an active member of the Catholic community and her faith was very important to her.
She married LaVern Victor Dailson, Sr. on May 8, 1952. They had ten children. Places of residence included White Bear Lake, McGrath, Mora, and St. Joseph’s, MN. She took care of her mother for awhile. She had many occupations which included bartending, cooking, greeter for Walmart, driving cab, and farming.
Her nickname was Road Runner because if you were her friend she would take you anywhere. She worked in a carnival for awhile. She had a food wagon that she served meals and balloons out of. She loved doing karoke with her favorite song being “Somewhere over the Rainbow”. She played a clown for special occasions. She was the biggest wrestling fan. She loved going to comedy clubs and knew Louie Anderson personally. The comedian had to be one that did not swear. She did not like swearing. She loved going on cruising with classmates for over 30 years. She loved saving aluminum cans. She loved to dance, all kinds including square-dancing. People would clear the floor when she was out dancing with dad.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Dorothy Masters, and her husband of over 25 years.
Ronayne is survived by her children, Victoria Flower (John), Lorretta Braucci, Michelle Seefeld, Tiny Dailson, Donald Dailson (Dawn), Kathleen Hotze, Marty Dailson, Mary Dailson, Vie Hartzell (David), and Jessica Thell (Scott). Her sister and brothers, Judy Burque (Fran), Terry Masters, and James Masters (Pat). She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 24th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mora with Fr. Eugene Plaisted and Rita Clasemann officiating. Music was provided by Kris Paulson and the St. Mary’s Choir. Pallbearers were Joshua Flower, Don Dailson, Dillon Dailson, Marty Dailson, Matthew Seefeld and Scott Thell. Burial will be at a later date.
