  12. I read Mark’s obituary today in the Minneapolis StarTribune and was surprised and sad. I was a classmate of Mark’s at New Prague High School. After graduation we lost touch, but reconnected when he was in Medical School at the U of M. He rotated through the department where I worked in the 70’s. We had a lot of great laughs and he told me I made the best coffee ever (for the department). I always appreciated Mark’s quiet ways, dry sense of humor and amazing memory. He was one of the brightest, smartest and nicest guys in our class. I wondered where he went after med school and now I know that he had a wonderful life with his family and his practice. I am so sorry for the family, community and the world that Mark has passed on to the next chapter. My prayers and thoughts go out to you.

  14. Dear Renee, Paul, Siobhan, Lauren, Tim, and Peter,

Mark will be missed by so many people in so many ways. While he was a man of many gifts and talents, we will always remember him as the quintessential family man. If awards were given for being a good husband and father, Mark would have a warehouse full of trophies and blue ribbons. Our family will never be the same without him.

Love, Michael, Lori, Ryan, and Erin

He was so excited about his move to Mora and had such a warm personality which made him a very good Doctor. We were so shocked to learn about what happened to him. We still think about the family every day and pray that you will be comforted during this time of healing. We are truly so sorry for your loss and for the loss of the whole community.
