Lillian Arnold, of Mora, died on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Kanabec County Hospital. She was 89 years old.
FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora at 1 PM with Pastor Dave Everett presiding.
VISITATION will be on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home from 4-8PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday
INTERMENT will follow the service on Wednesday at Rice Lake Cemetery in Braham.
Lillian Madeline Arnold was the daughter of Matthew and Rose (Schaub) Zeiglar. She was born on March 27, 1921 at Mankato, MN. She was united in marriage to Howard E. Arnold on September 20, 1952 in Rock Rapids, Iowa. They made their home in Mankato before moving to Braham in July 1956. They lived there until 1999 when Howard passed away. Shortly thereafter Lillian moved to the Pine Crest apartments in Mora, MN.
She enjoyed gardening and foster care. She also was a charter member of the Braham Moose Lodge, where she earned all her degrees. She loved spending quality time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers and sisters; one infant daughter; and one great-granddaughter.
She is survived by her children Shirley Smith of White Bear Lake, Twyla (Cliff) Wiggins of Tulsa OK, Eugene (Mary) Arnold of Pine City, Sharon (Darrold) Mattson of McGrath, Rick (Patty) Arnold of Mora, Pam (Dave) Dee of Mora, Donna Mann (Phil) of Mora; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; plus many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was held on Wednesday, Feb. 2nd at Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora with Rev. David Everett presiding. Music was provided by Marie Grundberg. Pallbearers were Jeff Arnold, Jeremy Arnold, Mike Arnold, Sara Dee, Johnathan Mann and Mike Harlan. Honorary pallbearers were Shelly Chapman, Melissa Harlan, Sis Richmond, Monica Arnold, Janet Kutil, Jennifer Ollestad and Christy Evans. Interment was at Rice Lake Cemetery in Braham.
