E. Paulson webEverett Paulson, of Grasston, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Villa Health Care Center of Mora. He was 67 years old.

A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 17, 2011 at the Hope Lutheran Church of Grasston with Rev. Herman Bakker presiding.

VISITATION will be from 3:00-6:00 pm on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at the Rock Ingebrand Funeral Home of Braham & 1 hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.

INTERMENT will be at 2:30 pm in the Wood River Cemetery of Grantsburg, Wisconsin.

Everett Allen Paulson, of Grasston, Minnesota, passed away on January 14, 2011 at Villa Healthcare Center in Mora after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was 67 years old.

Everett was born July 19, 1943 in Superior, Wisconsin to Clarence and Matie Paulson. He grew up on the family homestead in Alpha, Wisconsin where he attended Woodlake Country School and was confirmed in his faith at Calvary Covenant Church. He graduated from Grantsburg High where he met Judy Olson. They married on July 29, 1961. To this union three children were born and the young family made their home in Blaine, Minnesota. Everett was Apprentice and earned his Journeyman’s license as a drywall taper and belonged to Painters and Allied Trades Union Local 386. He later married Gaylis Staber in 1971, and moved to St. Francis, Minnesota where they spent many weekends fishing, camping and snowmobiling with their children. Louann Lucht came into his life in 1980 and the two married on June 20, 1981. Everett was baptized at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Bethel, Minnesota where the couple built a log home. They later moved to Grasston, Minnesota, where Everett built his dream home, retired at the age of 62 and spent time enjoying his electric train. He was a member in Hope Lutheran Church and will be remembered for many special things, including maintaining a perfect lawn, a well kept home and his head of red hair. He loved to talk to anyone about anything and especially enjoyed all family gatherings and holidays. Everett was a wonderful husband, dad, brother, uncle, grandpa, great grandpa and friend to many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister Sharon Paulson. Everett is survived by his wife Louann of Grasston, MN; six children Mark Paulson (Trade Lake, WI), Tod Paulson (Trade Lake, WI), Susan (Jim) Wilkus (Underwood, MN), Laurel Lucht (Braham, MN), Lane Lucht (Rochester, NY) Lonnie (Nancy) Lucht (Pine City, MN); eight grandchildren Ellen Ferry, Spencer Ferry, Emily Paulson, Brandon (Tracy) Lucht, Diana (Fianc Andrew) Lucht, Tony (Angie) Lucht, Casey Lucht, Sully Lucht; one great grandchild Nicholas Lucht; one brother Joe (Judy) Paulson (New Richmond, WI); three sisters Carole Paulson (Siren, WI), Jean (Jim) Foster (Roberts, WI), Sandra Olson (Waskish, MN; two sister-in laws Iris (Hubert) Lindblad (Naples, FL), Barbara (Sam) Sorkilmo (New Hope, MN) as well as many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
