Gary Jacobson, of Braham, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2010 at his home. He was 69 years old.

Gary was born on June 18, 1941 to parents Theodore and Grayce (Thompson) Jacobson in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. He served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964.
After his discharge from the Army, Gary attended and graduated from Brown College and spent his radio career known as Gary Knight. He worked for KUZZ radio in Bakersfield, California; and KHRT Christian radio in Minot, North Dakota. Later Gary worked for American Fence and Jim’s Supply in Bakersfield, California.
Gary attended the Open Arms Church of God in Grasston. His greatest joys were his grandchildren and he returned to Minnesota to be near them.

Gary leaves behind his four children Lelah (Scott) White of Blaine, Dan (Kim) Orand of Grasston, Nikki (Mike) Towery of Braham, and Holly Jacobson of Braham; his former wife and long time friend Marilyn Scott of Braham; 12 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren; 3 brothers Buddy, Butch, and Rick; and 2 sisters Janet and Margaret; best friend Chuck (Diane) VanGrisven; also many other relatives and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sharon, and brother Gordon.

Gary loved music and sports. He faithfully spent every Monday night with his grandson Christian Towery, sharing pizza and a game.

He leaves behind so many friends and family who will miss his sense of humor. His legacy to us all was his laughter.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Open Arms Church of God in Grasston, with Pastor Mike Flynn presiding. A time of fellowship will be held following the service at the church. Arrangements were entrusted to the Rock Ingebrand Funeral Home of Braham.
