ELAINE ANITA SORENSON

Elaine Sorenson, of Ogilvie, formerly of Minneapolis, died on Monday, September 27, 2010 at Signe and Olivias of Ogilvie. She was 92 years old.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be officiated by Chaplain Harris at the Rock-Ingebrand Funeral Home of Braham on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 2 PM.

A TIME OF VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home at 1 PM.

PRIVATE INURNMENT will be at the South Maple Ridge Cemetery in Braham.

Elaine Anita Sorenson, of Ogilvie, formerly of the Dalbo area, died on September 27, 2010 at Signe and Olivias in Ogilvie. She was 92 years old.

Elaine was born May 11, 1918 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Harry Colburn and Carrie Gunderson. She was raised in North East Minneapolis and attended Miller Vocational School, graduating in 1936.

On July 11, 1937, Elaine was married to Norris Sorenson at the Little Brown Church in Iowa. Three children were born into this union. The family resided in North East Minneapolis until 1954, when the family relocated to Dalbo, Minnesota. While living in Dalbo, Elaine worked at Control Data in Cambridge.

Elaine loved people. She loved talking, visiting, playing cards and crocheting.

She is survived by her three children; Norris (Judy) Sorenson of Isanti, MN, Glenn Sorenson of Dalbo, MN, Karen (Bill) Olson of Ogilvie, MN; sister, Eve Jean Linfors of Coon Rapids, MN; 7 Grandsons, Devery Sorenson, Wade Sorenson, Bryce (Beth) Sorenson, Todd (Debbie) Sorenson, Brent Sorenson, Marie Daudt, Jimmy Graham, and Kelly (Leslie) Graham; 9 great-grandchildren, Krista (Paul) Hintze, Rebecca Sorenson (Brian Lincoln), Jamie Sorenson, Justin Sorenson, Jaclyn Sorenson, Olivia Sorenson, Hayden Sorenson, Paige Graham, and Izabella Graham; 3 great-great Grandchildren, Tayler, Cole and Kasey Lincoln. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Elaine is preceded in death by parents, Harry and Carrie Colburn; husband, Norris in 1983; daughter-in-law, Beth Sorenson, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
