BURIAL will be at a later date.

Roy Ellsworth Booth III was born April 13, 1959 in Des Moines, Iowa to Almedia (Olsen) Booth and Roy E. Booth Jr. Roy was a mischievous child, always keeping his mother on her toes. He started his early years of school in Nevada, then transferred to Sheridan School in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. He finished his school years at Olsen Jr. High School in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army and was discharged on March 21, 1977. From there he moved to California where he raised German Sheppard dogs and enjoyed the California sun. Then he moved to Texas before returning back to Brook Park, Minnesota in 1984 where he met the love of his life, Gail Gaslin. To this union two daughters were born; Candi on November 19, 1986, and Staci on February 11, 1988.

Roy and his family moved many times until they settled in Finlayson, Minnesota. Roy was a jack-of-all-trades, but he enjoyed his employment at Freeport Finishing, being a top-coat technician for 10 years. After that he became independently wealthy with friends and family, being able to accommodate and assist others with his special knowledge and problem solving techniques. Friends referred to his home as “Pops One Stop Shop”. He also enjoyed the special times with his daughters and granddaughter Lorraine. They were his heart.

He is preceded in death by his wife Gail Gaslin-Booth, father Roy E. Booth Jr., brother-in-law Gilbert (Peter) Gaslin Jr.

He is survived by his daughters Candi M. Booth of Brook Park, Staci M. Booth of McGrath; granddaughter Lorraine Brown; mother Almedia S. Booth of Brook Park; siblings George E. Marshall of New York, Kathleen M. Booth of Brook Park, Tabitha Booth of Texas, Kim Gaslin of McGrath; many nieces, nephews and other loved ones.
