Leo Nutt, of Isle, MN died at his home on Thursday, April 29, 2010. He was 83 years old.
MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11 am on Tuesday May 4, 2010 at Isle Evangelical Free Church of Isle with Rev. Charles Visser and Rev. Clyde Dalbey officating.
Leo Sherwood Nutt, age 83, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, April 29th 2010.
Leo was born December 26, 1926 in Isle, MN to Clarence and Dollie Nutt. Leo grew up on the family farm in Isle. In 1949 Leo married the love of his life, Marie Elizabeth Olson. Leo and Marie had a baby boy David in 1950. In the summer of 1951 Leo, Marie and David moved to Northfield, MN on the St. Olaf farm, where Leo and Oscar Olson ran the college farm. In 1965 Leo worked in Rosemount at the Broccoli glass plant doing machine maintenance. In 1973 Leo and Marie moved back to the family farm in Isle, MN. While on the farm, Leo enjoyed farming and raising his cows. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, being with his son, sister, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Leo loved to take his family fishing on his pontoon and riding 4-wheeler. Leo always enjoyed teaching his family and friends his different interests and life surviving skills.
Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Marie, his parents, three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his son David and his wife RoseMarie; twin sister Cleo; Grandchildren David Lee (Stephanie), Stephanie (Curtis), Jonathon (Sara), Lorrae (Josh) and Missy; and nine great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
