Conrad Swenson, of Ogilvie, died on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the Villa Health Care Center in Mora. He was 98 years old.
FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 20th at Akkerman-Ingebrand Chapel in Mora.
VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
INTERMENT will be at Graceland Cemetery in Ogilvie.
Conrad Swenson was born on July 24 1911 at Bock, Minnesota to John and Sigrid Swenson. He grew up on the family farm with three brothers. He attended school one mile from home. On May 18, 1935 he was united in marriage to Pearl Haines. To this union one son, James was born. Conrad farmed all his life, plus thrashing and silo filling in South Fork Township. He held various positions on the Township board and also served on the Bock Creamery Board.
He was preceded in death by his wife Pearl; parents and brothers. He is survived by his son James of Ogilvie; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 20 at Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora. Pastor Bob DeYoung officiated. Pallbearers were Dale Hawkins, Bob Horrigan, John Peterson, Mike Lobdell, Jim Hlavaka and Duane Munsterteiger. Interment was at Graceland Cemetery in Ogilvie.
