S. Bossen webPhotoSusie Ane Bossen, of Mora, died at her home on Thursday, March 8th after a long battle with cancer. She was 62 years old.

MEMORIAL SERVICES will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, March 8th at Lewis Lake Covenant Church in rural Ogilvie.

VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 10th at Maple Hill Funeral Home in Kansas City.

Susie Ane Bossen, born April 25, 1947, passed away Thursday morning, March 4, 2010 in her home after a long battle with cancer. She leaves her husband, Vern Bossen.

Preceding her in death are her parents Merle & Lorine Jackson; sister Esther Norman and brother Erick Jackson all from the Kansas City Kansas area.

She leaves, along with her husband, sons Kevin (wife Dawn) Fotovich of Tonganoxie, KS, Jackson Bossen of Mora; daughters Kelli (husband Phillip) Dantzler of Merriam, KS, and Bonnie Bossen (husband Bret Beetle) of West St. Paul; two grandsons Fred Dantzler and Hunter Fotovich; two granddaughters Tamoyia Dantzler and Kelsey Fotovich; three brothers Richard Jackson of Grand Rapids, MI; Raymond and Earl Jackson both from Kansas City area; four sisters Kathy Carmack, Wilma Claxton, Christi Koelzer and Carla Campbell all from the Kansas City area. She also leaves an abundant amount of nephews, nieces, great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews, in addition to other family and many loving and caring friends.

Born in Kansas City, Kansas Susie moved to Mora, MN in the 1990’s and established her home. She was a dispatch broker in the trucking business for Vern and others. She was actively involved with Relay for Life throught the American Cancer Society. Her church by choice was Lewis Lake Covenant. She loved golfing, snowmobiling, tending to flowers in the yard and being with family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be directed to Allina Hospice.
