David DeSpiegelaere, of Mora, MN, died on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at the kanabec Hospital. He was 69 years old.
MEMORIAL SERVICES will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 26th at Akkerman-Ingebrand Chapel.
VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home
David Hubert DeSpiegelaere passed away January 20th, 2010 at Kanabec Hospital in Mora. He was 69 years old.
David was born April 1st, 1940 at home in Floodwood, MN to Cameil and Agnes (Mattson) DeSpiegelaere. He grew up on the family farm until moving to Duluth, spending summers back on the farm. One of fourteen siblings, he attended both Floodwood and Duluth schools. David spent most of his life as a baker, working at the Mora bakery for 22 years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and gardening. The family spent many happy weekends camping and doing many outdoor activities.
He loved his children and grandchildren, spending as much time as he could with them. He was always ready and willing to help anybody. David was a great father and grandfather. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
David was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Johnny; and three sisters Dorothy, Rosie and Caroline.
He is survived by his children Susie, Julie, Charlotte (Cary), Elizabeth (Steven), and Keith (Bridgett); seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, January 26th at Akkerman Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora. Dave Anderson presided. Final disposition was by cremation.
