Marjorie Alice Schusted, of Braham, joined her heavenly father on January 5, 2010. She died peacefully at home at the age of 83 years.

Marjorie was born September 19, 1926 to Philip and Mary (Morrison) Most in Atlantic, Iowa. After high school, she met Vern O. Schusted Sr. in Elk River, Minnesota. They were united in marriage on January 10, 1945 in Stillwater, Minnesota. To this union five children were born. Together the family settled in Braham where they have lived for the last 50 years. Marjorie and Vern would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Sunday, January 10th.

Marjorie was employed at the Cambridge State Hospital and retired after over twenty five years as the head of the housekeeping department. Her hobbies and interests included camping, fishing, gardening, cooking, and sewing. Marjorie was an active member of the St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church of Braham and the ladies aid. She also volunteered for the “Meals on Wheels” program for several years.

The family spent many happy camping weekends and vacations together; mostly remembered– Barnum, Fool’s Lake, and Aitkin Lake. Marjorie put God first in her life, but loved her husband, children, and grandchildren; especially all of the family gatherings and holidays. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friends. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, and son Ricki Joe Schusted.
