Leland Broberg Sr, of Mora, died on October 11, 2009. He was 70 years old.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 24th at Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home.

INURNMENT will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, October 23, 2009 at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Assembly Area # 4.

Leland “Lee” Lester Broberg Sr. was born in Bangor, WI on Dec 6, 1938 to Vernon and Judith (Danielson) Broberg. Lee grew up in Dassel, Kingston, and Litchfield, MN and graduated from Litchfield H.S. in 1957. He entered the Air Force in 1958 and was honorably discharged in 1961. He married Charlotte Moore on June 16, 1961, in Omaha, NE. After residing in WI for several years, he returned to Minnesota in 198, residing in Watkins and Grove City, working at Sparboe’s in Litchfield and Agco/Cargill in Wilmar.
Lee is survived by his three children Leland Jr (Lynn) Broberg of Monroe, WI; Michelle Broberg of Poynette, WI; Jennifer Broberg of Madison, WI; and four grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings Norma Isakson of Fountain City, WI, Margaret Bonnette of Rochester, MN, Arlan Broberg of St Cloud, MN, Barbara Haefel of Stockton, MN, Doris Marshall of Hector, MN, Harold (Mona) Broberg of Mora, MN, Carol (Al) Christopher of Hutchinson, MN, Daryl (Barb) Broberg of Mound View, MN and Everett (Sue) Broberg of Elk River, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Curtis, Vilas (Ole) and Harley, five brother-in-laws, his former wife, plus other family and friends.

Special thanks to his Brother Harold Broberg and sister-in-law
Mona Broberg for allowing Lee to live with them the last 5 years in their home, plus the staff at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis for their care the last month.

Burial will be at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis on October 23, 2009 at 12:30pm in Assembly Area #4.
A Memorial service will be Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Akkerman-Ingebrand funeral home, 825 S. Union St., Mora followed by a reception at the Masonic Hall, Mora.
