Warren Barry Karas was born on May 31st, 1951 to Don and Delores Karas in Rush City, MN. He graduated from Rush City High School in 1969.
Throughout high school Warren enjoyed football, baseball, hunting, and fishing. The love of these sports continued throughout his life. Immediately following high school, Warren began his career as a Sprinkler Fitter with Local Union 669.

On May 31st 1975, he married Ginni (Hauglie) Karas at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rush City. After residing in Anoka for one year, they moved to their present home in Stanchfield. Warren took great pride in growing plants such as peach trees, plum trees, grape vines, strawberries, raspberries, lilies, and many other flowers and vegetables. He marveled at how one little seed could grow into such a beautiful plant.
Warren retired from Brothers Fire Protection in July, 2007, after working 38 years in the sprinkler industry. He loved his work with the union and became great friends with numerous coworkers. His story-telling abilities and sense of humor made the workday fly by for others. Aside from being with family and friends, his greatest enjoyment was the sights, sounds and smells of nature.
Warren was preceded in death by his father Don Karas.
Warren is survived by his mother, Delores of Rush City, wife, Ginni, four children, Michelle (Jonathan) Boeck of Ramsey, Kelsey Hollenkamp of Rush City, Blake Karas of River Falls, Wisconsin, Jack Karas of St. Cloud and two brothers, Alan Karas of Luck, Wisconsin, and Don Jr. (Mary) of Portland, Oregon and three grandchildren, Kiera Hollenkamp, Jillian Hollenkamp and Vincent Boeck.
