JOHN DAVID JOHNSON

John D. Johnson, of Braham and owner of the 65 Bait Shop, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at his home. He was 62 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Braham Covenant Church with Rev. Steve Jennish officiating.

VISITATION will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Rock Ingebrand Funeral Home in Braham on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.

INTERMENT will be at Rice Lake Lutheran Cemetery at Braham.

John David Johnson, of Braham and owner of the 65 Bait Shop, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at home.
John was born on November 4, 1946 to Raymond and Gladys (Rich) Johnson. He married Lila Mell on December 26, 1975.
John bought the bait shop and moved his family to Braham in 1989. The bait business was John’s dream. He enjoyed every part of the business. It truly was something he loved. His hobbies included fur trapping, fishing, the outdoors and harassing the DNR.
John loved his wife, his children, and his grandchildren; and enjoyed all the family gatherings and holidays. He was always ready and willing to help family and friends. John was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and three grandchildren; Cody Johnson, Brandon Johnson, and Jordan Gonsioroski.
John is survived by his wife Lila of Braham; son Cory (Heidi) Johnson of Mora, son Randy (Amanda) Johnson of Hibbing; daughter Angela (Kevin) Cope of Cloquet; grandchildren Jacob and Hope Johnson, Braydin and Coltin Johnson, Elizabeth Berglund and Airon Cope; brothers Doug of Isle, Don (Mardell) of Blaine, Jim (Donna) of Rush City, Alton of Rush City; sister Darla Keesling of Rockford; nieces, nephews and many friends.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Braham Ev. Covenant Church with Rev. Steve Jennisch officiating. Casketbearers were Darrell Golly, Jerrid Quenomoen, Jacob Johnson, Scott Crist, Patrick Sendhofer and Dave Harms. Interment was in the Rice Lake Lutheran Cemetery.
