KAREN ELAINE BRUNER

karen-bruner-webphoto2.jpgKaren Bruner, of Grasston, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 in Grasston, Minnesota. She was 59 years old.

A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the Rock Ingebrand Funeral Home of Braham with Rev. Beverly Robinson presiding. VISITATION will be from 5-7pm on Friday, May 22, 2009 at the Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday. INTERMENT will be in the Grasston Union Cemetery.

Karen Elaine Bruner of Grasston, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 after a very long, ongoing battle with cancer. She was 59 years old.
Karen was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota to parents Sidel Blencoe and Juanita (King) Spielman. She attended school in Pine City MN. In 1973 she went to Vale, Oregon where she met her husband Mike Bruner and they married in September of 1979 at the Zion Lutheran Church in North Minneapolis.

Mike and Karen then moved to Grasston in 1986 where they have made their life long home. Karen worked at home as a very loving homemaker; her hobbies were fishing, gardening, cooking, baking and going to rodeos. She spent much of her time cooking for her family and friends for holidays and many get-togethers. She was always ready and willing to help family and friends with anything she could, she had a big heart for people. Karen was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and she will be truly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Sid Blencoe and Juanita Spielman, brothers Vance Blencoe and David Blencoe.

She is survived by her husband Mike Bruner of Grasston, son Steven Kellum of Minneapolis, grandchildren Dion Kellum, Steven Kellum, and Aliessia Kellum; Many other relatives and friends.
