Helen Anna Gutzmer, of Pine City, formerly of Mora and St. Paul, died on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Lakeside Medical Center in Pine City. She was 83 years old.
MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 10th at Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Mora. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. INTERMENT will be at a later date at Forest Lawn Cemetery in St. Paul.
Helen Anna (Fohrenkamm) Gutzmer, of Pine City, Minnesota, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 83, on Wednesday, January 7th, 2009 at Lakeside Medical Nursing Home in Pine City.
Helen was born May 11th, 1925 at Ancker Hospital in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She grew up in Saint Paul, attended Johnson High School and graduated in 1943. At the age of 21, Helen was married to Ralph Gutzmer. Together they had 2 daughters and 2 sons. Helen was employed throughout the years; a few of her memorable jobs were working at HealthEast as a linen/housekeeping aide, and a greeter at the Vadnais Heights Walmart.
Her interests included watching soap operas, WWE Wrestling (yes, she watched wrestling), Jerry Springer Show, and playing slots at the Hinckley Casino.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Lois Morse.
Helen is survived by her sons Otto (Diane) Gutzmer of White Bear, and Lloyd (Peggy) Gutzmer of Mora; daughter Elaine (Jerry) Hendrickson of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren Anna, Cathe, Crystal, David, Holly, Kristy, Steven and Todd; great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
