Phil was born in Hallock, MN on April 12, 1940, to Claude and Mary Blaede. He grew up on the family farm and was the third of six siblings.
Phil met and fell in love with Sharon Gwin. Three weeks later he proposed and after four months they eloped on October 16, 1965. They were married for 43 years and had two children. He was a good husband and father and cherished spending time with his family.
After attending high school, Phil enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany where he served for three years. He worked briefly as a Lumber Jack in the Black Hills of Custer, SD; then worked as a Truck Driver and Fork Lift Operator for over 25 years before retiring to Brook Park, Minnesota.
He had many interests and was very talented in all he did. He enjoyed camping, water skiing, boating, sailing, snowmobiling, gardening, animals, bird watching, wood working, cabinetry, painting, carving, genealogy, and tax preparation. Phil jokingly called himself a “Jack of All Trades and Master of None.”
He is preceded in death by his father Claude, and his brother Nathan. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon; children Cheryl (Curtis) Hawkins, and Vince; grandchildren Calvin, Rachel, Zena, and Sydney; mother Mary Tweten; brothers Dave (Carol), Steve (Rosemarie), Danny; sister Lois (Gary) Kalstrom; sister-in-law Becky and many nieces and nephews and friends.
On behalf of everyone here at Acuo Technologies our prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Sharon(mom), Vince and Cheryl:
There is nothing i can do,
to make him come back
There are no words I can say,
that can replace the words you long to hear
There are no answer’s I can give,
that will satisfy your questions
There is not another soul I can introduce you to that will ever replace his
And, there is no love I can offer that will ever replace the love you shared
I can not promise your broken heart will ever be complete
I will not say it could have been worse
I will not deny it was a tragedy
I will not lie and tell you he will come back
He never really left
I do promise he hears you when you speak
I will say he loves you no matter the distance
I will not deny he is in a better place
And, I will not lie; he is waiting to greet you someday
He is every you step you take
He is in everything you do
He is the air you breathe
He is every beat of your heart
” He is like the wind. You can not see him…but you will always feel him”
dad will always be with us in our heart
Philip was like a second Father to me when Sharon and Phil took me in and helped me through a tuff time in my teenage years. I will never forget his thoughtfulness and his laugh. Philip was a extroadanary man.
He will be missed!!!!
