WAYNE HARMON MILLER

wayne-miller-web-photo.jpgWayne Miller, of Braham, formely of South Dakota, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2009 at the Cambridge Medical Center. He was 71 years old.

A Graveside Service and Inurnment will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 16, 2009 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Wayne Harmon Miller, of Braham, passed away on Friday, January 02, 2009 at the Cambridge Medical Center. He was 71 years old.

Wayne was born on July 25, 1937 to parents Morris and Eva (Keats) Miller in Arlington, South Dakota. Wayne was the youngest of six children. He attended school in South Dakota and at the age of 18, Wayne enlisted in the Army. Wayne served for 15 years during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He worked mainly as a mechanic and traveled all over the world. After his discharge from the Army, Wayne worked as an over the road truck driver. He retired and moved to Braham in 2002 to be closer to his family.

Wayne had many hobbies including building model airplanes, going to tractor shows, and collecting anything and everything. Wayne also liked to spend time reading and watching wrestling. Wayne will be remembered for being a bit of a flirt and for his big heart with compassion for everyone he knew. He will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Eugene and Kenny Miller.

He is survived by daughter Rebekah Miller of Amery, WI; sons Clinton Miller and Randy Miller; granddaughters Kayla Surdey, Jacqueline Godlevsky and Michael and Melissa Miller; great grandchildren Lucas Askew, Caitlyn Raudabough, Andrea Raudabough, and Kaden Surdey; sisters Doris (Don) Leiding, Lorraine (Dick) Smith, and Esther Borkowski; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A graveside service and interment will be held in the spring at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
