Norma Ann Holmen, of Braham, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at the Kanabec Hospital in Mora. She was 72 years old.
Norma was born on November 10, 1936 to parents Fred and Lila (Hoevet) Holtz in Martin County, Minnesota. In December of 1942, Norma and her family moved from Martin County to the family farm north of Braham. Norma attended country school and graduated from Braham High School in 1954.

In 1997 Norma went to work in the bakery department at County Market in Cambridge until her declining health forced her to retire in 2005.
Norma loved reading, tending to her flower gardens, bird watching, riding her 4-wheeler on the farm with her dogs in tow. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents, and sister and brother-in-law Irene and Stan Nystrom.
