DORIS MAE NELSON

Doris Nelson, of Cambridge, formerly of Braham, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at her home in Cambridge. She was 76 years old.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at the Rock Ingebrand Funeral Home of Braham. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. INTERMENT will be in the Rice Lake Cemetery in the Spring.

Doris Mae Nelson, of Cambridge, formerly of Braham, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at her home in Cambridge. She was 76 years old.

Doris was born on March 2, 1932 to parents Harry and Josie (Wilkens) Hinkley in Crookston, Minnesota. She was one of five siblings. Doris attended and graduated from the Plummer High school.

In 1958 Doris moved to Day, MN where she and her husband farmed. For many years Doris worked at the Park Caf in Braham before she began her 32 years at Plastech Corporation in Rush City until her retirement in 2005.

Doris had many hobbies including flower gardening, reading, and putting together puzzles. She spent many wonderful years traveling with her husband Al and the Camping Group’.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents; husband Alfonse; son John A Fogel; and brother Marlo Hinkley.

She is survived by son James Fogel (special friend Dawn Zimprich) of Cambridge; daughters Sheree (Shane) Geving of Mora, and Glenyce (Chuck) Luedke of Princeton; grandchildren Nicole (Tom) Miller, Micheal Thomas, Michelle Jansen, Chad Luedke, James A. Fogel, Dianna (Cody) Orth, and Fawn Fogel; six great grandchildren; sisters Merlyn (Orlis) Hanson of Crookston, Beverly (Dennis) Moen of Oklee, and Charlotte (Kenny) Parsley of Brooks; special dancing partners David and Valerie Nelson; foster son Fred (Sandy) Button; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at the Rock Ingebrand funeral home of Braham, with Rev. Doug Larson presiding. Honorary Urn Bearers were Doris’ seven grandchildren. Interment will be in the spring at the Rice Lake Cemetery of Braham.

    I’m sorry to hear of your loss. She was a wonderful person, and she will be missed dearly. I’m going to miss sending her a christmas card with a letter updating her on my family. Your family are in my prayers. God Bless you all.

    Can any one tell me if Doris Nelson lived on hwy 65 if so than
    I am sorry to hear that she passeed away.
    If so give my regards to Her husband ‘s son Dan .
