Jeanette Rose (Marier) Lunde, died September 30, 2008 at the farm she called home in rural Braham, Minnesota. She was sixty years old. Jeanette was born on January 27, 1948 in Minneapolis to Eugene and Frances Marier. She was the youngest of three children and together the family lived in Hugo on the family farm.
Jeanette graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1966 and pursued healthcare as a career through a 4 year degree as a Registered Nurse. It was at Forest Lake High School where Jeanette met the love of her life and married Richard Lunde on February 24, 1968. Together their first home was located in Colorado near Ft.Carson while Richard was serving in the Army. She absolutely loved living there and loved living near the mountains of Colorado. After Richard was discharged they hand built their next home, that still stands, in Hugo, MN. It was at that home that Jeanette and Richard started their family. Together they had two children, Richard and Michelle Lunde. In 1984 the Lunde’s moved to their current home in Braham,MN and pursued their career in farming and raising their family.
Jeanette’s joys in life were her two grandchildren, Andrew and Logan Lunde. Being a grandma was her greatest joy and all her troubles went away the instant she would see her grandkids and was able to spoil them with cookies and backscratches. Besides her grandkids, Jeanette loved watching her Twins, Vikings, birds and grandsons play their sports.
Her parents, Eugene and Frances (LaBarre) Marier and her brother Donald Marier preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband Richard; children Rich (Lisa) Lunde of Ogilvie, and Michelle (Adam) Lunde of Braham; grandchildren Logan and Andrew Lunde; granddogs Dixie Rae and Morgan; sister Jeanadelle Gilmore of Minneapolis; a sister-in- law Sylvia Marier and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jeanette was and still is dearly loved and will be missed greatly but will never be forgotten. She will live on in our hearts until we see her again.
A memorial service will be held at the Lewis Lake Covenant Church in Ogilvie on Saturday, October 4 at 11o’clock, in celebration of her life with Rev. Bob DeYoung presiding. Urn bearers were Logan Lunde and Andrew Lunde.
