I never had the chance to met Gary, but when I delivered DeDe’s Avon, there was a smile waiting for me at the door. They will be missed by all that knew them. She was a positive, happy go lucky kind of person. Full of energy when I talked to her. I will not be able to make it to either service, but I will pray for your families. May God lift your hearts to him in this time of need, and he may comfort you all. Noelle Johnson.

    Shane,Dusty and Lacee,
I am so sorry and I hurt so badly for you all. I taught with De De in Ogilvie(Shane and Dusty, you might remember me?) and she was the best friend that you dream about having…always there for me. Dustin….We named our son after you (: and Lacee….Your mom and I were pregnant together at the same time. She was there for me every step of the way since this baby was my first and you were her third! Tim(my husband) and I loved being with your parents and we are devastated!! Please know you are in our prayers and on prayer chains here in North Dakota. I regret not being at the funeral but I heard about this too late. I will be praying for all of you throughout the day today and for the difficult days you might have in the future.

I’ll always remember DeDe’s laugh and how at lunch time at work she’d say “It needs salt.” She LOVED lemon bars and custard with carmel sauce. She always had a joke to tell. I’ll miss her. My heart goes out to the family. You’re in my thoughts and prayers.

I cannot express my sorrow deeply enough.

I was one of the students that Mrs. Heald helped in Ogilvie many years ago.

The early 80’s were a very difficult time for disabled children. The idea of schooling us with everyone else was still somewhat new and highly controversial, even among teachers themselves. We were often not accepted.

Although I had not seen her for many years, Mrs. Heald made such an impression that the memory of her kindness, compassion, and friendship have always remained with me, over the course of more than 25 years.

Whatever solace I can offer is woefully inadequate, but it is my sincere hope that your family will find some comfort and peace in knowing that so many others, and I grieve with you.

    T.J.D.
