Naomi Larson of Braham, died on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at her home in Braham surrounded by her family. She was 72 years old.
A MEMORIAL will be held Saturday, September 6, 2008, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at VFW in Braham.
Naomi Charline Larson, of Braham, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at her home in Braham surrounded by her family. Naomi was 72 years old.
Naomi was born May 8, 1936 in Trinidad, Colorado to parents Paul and Annie (Hamilton) Jones. Naomi was one of eight children and attended Trinidad schools in Colorado.
In 1953 Naomi met Carl A. Larson in Pueblo, Colorado. Together they moved to the twin cities in 1955. On August 27, 1955 Carl and Naomi were united in marriage at the North Isanti Baptist Church. Together they raised four children.
In 1973 Naomi and Carl moved to Braham, Minnesota.
Naomi was an avid gardener, tending to her beautiful flowers and vegetable garden for the entire neighborhood to admire. She was a member of the Garden Club and helped to keep all the flowers of Braham beautiful. For over seventeen years, Naomi volunteered much of her time to the Tusen Tack thrift store in Braham. Naomi also enjoyed quilting in the free time, and was a member of the Braham VFW Auxillary. Naomi was also a wonderful cook and baker and would make wonderful dishes and deserts for her family and friends.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Naomi is survived by her husband Carl of Braham, children Carl Jr. of Coon Rapids; Karen of Sommerset, WI; Sharon of Missouri; and Gayle of Pine City; Five grandchildren and Three great grandchildren; brothers Robert Jones of Colorado; and Bill (Diane) Jones of California; sisters Mary Jones of Butler, Missouri; Margaret King; and Paula Jones both of Denver, Colorado.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Annie (Hamilton) Jones, and brothers George and Frank Jones.
