Marjorie Ruth Rosen, of Cambridge, formerly of Braham, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2008 at Grandview Christian Center in Cambridge. She was 92 years old.
FUNERAL SERVICES will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, June 16th at Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. Rich Chronis will officiate. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. INTERMENT will be at Rich Lake Cemetery.
Marjorie was born September 5, 1915 in Kanabec Township to parents Brayton and Martha (Peck) Marquart. She lived in Kanabec County until she married Clarence Rosen on March 31, 1936 in Brunswick, Minnesota. Together Marjorie and Clarence farmed in the Coin area until 1947, when they moved and lived for several years in the Grass Lake area. They finally settled in the area Southwest of Braham where they raised their family.
Marge worked at a variety of different jobs including Korstads Food Market and the Cambridge State Hospital in food service and the group homes until her retirement.
Marge has been a member of the Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church since December of 1942.
Marge is survived by her children: Lowell Rosen and wife Dolores of Bremerton, WA; Judy and husband Don Parson of Braham; Dale Rosen of Minneapolis; and Shirley and husband Wayne Berg of Palmer, AK; brother Jim Marquart and wife Diane of Mora; sister Dorothy and husband Bob Poundstone of Lino Lakes; Nine grandchildren, Sixteen great grandchildren, and Seven great great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence, a granddaughter, four brothers, and two sisters.
A funeral service held at 2pm on Monday, June 16, 2008 at the Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Rich Chronis presiding. Pallbearers will be Larry Poundstone, Brian Marquart, Harlen Stenstrom, Bob Marquart, Jim Carlson and Bob Brabec.
