LaVeeda Peterson of Cambridge, MN died Thursday, June 5, 2008 at the Grandview Christian Home in Cambridge. She was 87 years old.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm On Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Braham Evangelical Covenant Church. Rev Steven Jennisch will officated the service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Interment in the Mission Cemetery in Braham.
LaVeeda Marie Peterson of Cambridge, formerly of Braham, passed away on June 5, 2008 at the Grandview Christian Living Center in Cambridge. She was 87 years old.
LaVeeda was born on October 9, 1920 to parents Albert “Bert” and Minnie (Bumke) Runyan in Rochester, Minnesota. In 1940 she married Ivar Peterson in Rochester, MN. To this union, three children; Judy, LaMar, and Holger were born.
LaVeeda was a devoted homemaker. She spent many wonderful years playing the organ in the Braham Covenant String Band. Her hobbies included crocheting countless doilies and making an occasional afghan. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. LaVeeda will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Judy Elias, son LaMar Paul Peterson, brothers Paul and Harry; and sisters Hazel, Pearl, Vivian, and Goldie.
LaVeeda is survived by her loving husband Ivar, son Holger Peterson and wife Laura of Lakeville; son-in-law Mike Elias of Rockford, IL; grandchildren Char’ae (Tom) Lapham, Joy (Scott) Lindner, Amy (Brad) Beaver, Taj Peterson, Dylan Peterson, and Kim Peterson; great grandchildren Corban, Cory, Caleb, Colan, and Charity Lapham; Trevor and Brandon Lindner, D’Artagnon and Jorae Beaver; sister Lorraine Dinler; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
