FUNERAL Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 24th at Ogilvie United Methodist Church. VISITATION will be from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Friday, May 23rd at Akkerman-Igebrand Funeral Home, plus 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

Pearl Lavon Lobdell, of Ogilvie, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at her home after a short illness, at the age of 82 years.

Pearl was born on August 13, 1925 at Marathon, Iowa to Charles and Ethel (Wahlstrom) Cooper. She moved to Comfort Township, Kanabec County, Minnesota with her parents and graduated from Grasston High School in 1943. She married Robert Lobdell on July 21, 1945. They settled on a farm north of Ogilvie where they have lived for nearly 63 years. They farmed and raised five children. She enjoyed gardening, playing piano, friends, and most of all, her family.

Pearl was preceded in death by her son Bill; parents Charles and Ethel; sisters Fern, Peggy and Lucille; and her brother Bill.

She is survived by her husband Bob of Ogilvie; children Diana (Gene) Keehr of Mora, Donna (special friend Dan) Dunstan of Brook Park, Mike (Gail) Lobdell of Ogilvie, and Peggy (Ron) Peterson of Ogilvie; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Keith Cooper of Ogilvie; sisters Helen (Gordy) Heim of Mora and Marion Beck of Sartell; nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

A Memorial Service held on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Ogilvie United Methodist Church. Rev. Dennis Buckley officiated. Music provided by Steve Showers and Elaine Keehr. Burial will be at a later date.
