Doris E. Eng, of Pine City, formerly of Braham, died Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Lakeside Medical Center in Pine City. She was 80 years old.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 19, 2008 at Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00PM, Sunday, May 18th at the Rock-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Braham. Interment will be at Rice Lake Cemetery.
Doris was born July 26, 1927 to Charles & Eleanor Stromquist in North Branch, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at Augustana Lutheran Church of North Branch. Doris graduated from North Branch High School in 1945. She then went on to Secretary School in Minneapolis, MN. After graduating she worked in Minneapolis as an office secretary.
On March 1, 1947 Doris married Earl Wilber “Willy” Eng in North Branch. After living in the cities for a year, they moved to Braham in 1948 and resided there for 61 years before moving to Pine City. Doris was a homemaker from the time they moved north from Minneapolis until her children were grown.
Doris was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Eng; parents, Charles & Eleanor Stromquist; brother, Roy Stromquist; sister, Bertha Olson; and great-grandson, Colin Dexter.
She is survived by husband, E. Wilber “Willy” Eng; son, Jeffrey (Becky) Eng; daughters, Belinda (Patrick) Blahnik, Barbara (Jerome) Anderson and Candace (Jon) Mattison; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Alyce Clover and Rube Brown; sisters-in-law, Lucille (John) Almlie and Beverly Peterson; and many loving relatives and friends.
