FUNERAL SERVICES will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 3rd at Mora United Methodist Church. VISITATION will be 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 2nd at Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home. INTERMENT will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.

Sedoris (Sed) Stuart Nelson passed away quietly April 30, 2008 at the VA Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota surrounded by his five children and their spouses. He was 83 years old.

Sed was preceded in death by his loving wife Margaret (Peggy); his parents James and Kate (Alpers) Nelson; and two brothers Muriel and LaVerne Nelson.

He is survived by one brother Warren Nelson of Forest Lake, Minnesota; one sister Marcella (Ray) Gassler of Wyoming, Minnesota; five children: Vicki (Gary) Hall of Doe Run, Missouri, Jim (Pam) Nelson of Anaconda, Montana, Sandie (Mike) Crow of Mora, Minnesota, Polly (Bob) Rivoli of Kent, Washington and Kathy (Bill) Saenger of Mora, Minnesota. He was also blessed with 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Sed was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors, his family and friends. He was active in the Methodist Church, the American Legion and the Legion Color Guard.

Sed was born in Mora, Minnesota on February 5, 1925, graduated for Mora High School in 1942 and served in the US Navy from 1942-45. He married Margaret (Peggy) Cooper on August 8, 1945 in San Francisco, CA.

He touched the lives of all who knew him and will be sincerely missed by everyone. He loved God, his Country, and his family.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 3rd at Mora United Methodist Church. Rev. Dennis Buckley and Rev. Gary Hall officiated. Music was provided Elaine Keehr, Shelly Snyder, Jim and Susan Williams. Pallbearers were Steve Crow, Chris Hall, Tyler Nelson, Jordan Snyder, Chad Keehr and Mike Lobdell. Military honors were provided by Mora American Legion Post 201. Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery in Mora
