FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 8th at Open Arms Church of God in Grasston, MN. VISITATION will be held on Monday, April 7th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. INTERMENT will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.

Loren William Hollenkamp was born September 13th, 1949 in St. Cloud, MN to Virgil and Eilleen (Mugg) Hollenkamp. He grew up in St. Cloud with 8 brothers and sisters. He attended St. Cloud Tech High School and graduated in 1967. After his graduation, he attended Dunwoody Institute to begin his studies in the sheet metal field. Upon his graduation, he began his career as a Sheet metal journeyman, which lasted 38 years. He married Nancy Lindenfelser on May 6th, 1972. Loren and Nancy started their lives together in Waverly, MN then moved to Brook Park, MN in 1979 to raise three children. He was an active member at Open Arms Church of God in Grasston, MN. Loran and Nancy were active in jail ministry in Mora for 7 years and Nancy has worked at Linda’s Hair Design in Mora for the last 18 years. Nancy will carry on Loren’s life long dream of mission work with Native Americans in northern Minnesota. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, dairy and beef farming, and bee-keeping. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Eileen Hollenkamp.

He is survived by his wife Nancy, son Jeremy, and daughters Shannon (David) Carlson and Rachel (Jeff) Hoo. Grandchildren; Kiera and Jillian Hollenakmp, Lauren, Lindsey and Lainie Carlson, and Anja, Mya and King Hoo. Brothers; William Hollenkamp (Sandra), Wayne Hollenkamp (Melissa), Scott Hollenkamp (Jill). Sisters; June Gustafson, Pam Roske (Bob), Vonnie Rueter, Kim Reginer (Chuck), LaNett Hollenkamp-Grauf (Cyndi). Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services held on Tuesday, April 8th at Open Arms Church of God in Grasston. Rev. Mike Flynn will officiate. Pallbearers are Ben Hollenkamp, Chris Yonak, Jerrod Hollenkamp, Trent Roske, Jamie Gurtafson and Jed Hollenkamp. Honorary pallbearer Craig Hollenkamp. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery in Mora.

  1. Nancy and Family, Our prayers are with you and yours. We were surprised to hear that Loren passed on so soon! Tiger just saw him several months ago. Susan hopes to be able to attend the funeral tomorrow. We are blessed that we were able to to get to know Loren at Open Arms. He will be missed! Love, Tiger and Susan
