VIOLET M. RASMUSSEN

Violet M. Rasmussen, of Mora, died Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the Cambridge Medical Center. She was 87 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 AM, THURSDAY, March 6th at Zion Lutheran Church in Mora. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. INTERMENT at Fish Lake Cemetery.

Violet Marie Rasmussen, of Mora, Minnesota, passed away on March 1, 2008 at Cambridge Health Care Center in Cambridge of natural causes. She was 87 years old.

Violet was born February 3, 1921 at home in Grass Lake Township, Kanabec County, Minnesota to Victor Westin and Mary Sjorlund. She married William Danger, then after his death she married Earl Rasmussen. She graduated from Mora High School. Violet worked at the Crystal Caf before purchasing and running the caf for many years. After which she went to work as the head cook at Kanabec Hospital until she retired. Violet always made sure that everyone that she fed had more than enough to eat. She enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting, and always had a yard full of homemade lawn ornaments.

She was preceded in death by her first husband William Danger; second husband Earl Rasmussen; her parents; two brothers Herman and Milton Westin; six sisters Selma Groff, Efie Westin, Vera Mart, Edna Brindamour, Mildred Honzalek, and Ruth Erickson.

Violet is survived by her daughter Janet and her husband Joe Miller of Peyton, Colorado; her son Richard Danger and his wife Barb of Hamm Lake, Minnesota; four grandchildren Rodney Miller, Robert Miller and wife Sheri, Stacy Weston and husband Eric and Stephanie Danger; seven great grandchildren Chris Miller, Tim Miller, Tyler Weston, Mikayla Miller, Miranda Miller, Maia Weston, and Julian Sonquist; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
