Audrey A. Peterson, age 66, of Grasston, died on Feb. 22, 2008, at the Cambridge Health Care Center in Cambridge.
MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 2:00 PM, at Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church in Braham. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service.
Audrey Adell Peterson of Grasston, MN passed away on February 22, 2008 at the Cambridge Health Care Center after a long battle with cancer. She was 66 years old.
Audrey was born August 3, 1941 in Marble, MN to Alfred & Vivian Swanson. She lived a few years on the Iron Range and then moved to Onamia where her sister Beverly was born. Her family later moved to Milaca and then to Cambridge, where her sister Debbie was born. Audrey’s family then moved to Braham where she graduated from high school. She also met and married Carl H. Peterson; the wedding took place on June 20, 1959.
They resided in Braham and raised two daughters, Terrie & Sharon. Audrey was employed at the Braham Hospital, Braham Locker and Nelson’s Accounting. Audrey found her passion as a chef at Fireside Supper Club when she moved to McGregor. She worked there for 15 years.
After the death of her mother, they moved back to Braham where she helped care for her dad. During this time she cooked at the Braham Pub along with other establishments, furnishing them with her homemade soups.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Carl Peterson of Grasston; 2 daughters, Terrie (Gary) Folkestad of Braham and Sharon (Mitch) Becker of Cambridge; 6 grandchildren, Ryan, Alissa & Hannah Becker, Amanda (Chris), Nathan & Matthew Folkestad; great-granddaughter, Maraely; sisters, Beverly (Jerry) Grayson of Medford, Debbie (Todd) Keith of Woodbury; several nieces & nephews; and many relatives & friends.
