Rolland A. Chapel of Isanti, died Saturday, January 5, 2008 in Isanti. He was 64 years old.
FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at the Rock – Ingebrand Funeral Home in Braham, and 1 hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday. Interment will be at Grasston Baptist Cemetery.
Rolland Allen Chapel of Isanti, formerly of Columbia Heights and Braham, passed away January 5, 2008 at home in Isanti. He was 64 years old.
Rolly was born October 16, 1943 in Braham, MN to Maurice and Eva (Dean) Chapel. At a very young age he went to live with his grandparents, Albin and Lylia Nordeen along with his older brother John. After getting his GED, he joined the army. Upon completion of his duty he returned home and went to work at Kremer & Davis Waterproofing. He retired from there in October of 2006.
Rolly married Donna Babb, together they had 4 children. He enjoyed breakfast at Perkins, fast walks, trips to the casino, and movies. He liked working outdoors – helping with building projects for friends and family.
Rolly came to realize how important his family was to him and cherished the time he had with them.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albin & Lylia Nordeen; parents, Maurice & Eva Chapel; and grandson, Derek Babb.
Rolly is survived by his former wife & loving caregiver, Donna; children, Michelle (Duane) Tessness, Michael, Tami Kullman, and Kevin (Kathy); grandchildren, Heather (Joe), Austin, David, Reid, Danny, Dusty, and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Colby, Wyatt, and Dodge; brother, John (Lois); cousin, Ralph Robinson; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Rich Chronis presiding. Music will be provided by Elaine Johnson. Pallbearers are: Michael Chapel, Ross Davis, Mike Friedrich, Kevin Babb, Casey Kullman, and Mark Robbie. Interment will be held at Grasston Baptist Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by the Rock-Ingebrand Funeral Home in Braham, MN.
