Bertil G. Magnuson
Dad left us for his Heavenly home on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at the age of 79 years old. He will be truly missed by his family, our ministry board members, and many friends both in the USA and Sweden.
Bertil G. Magnuson was born in Tjallmo, Sweden on May 6, 1928. He was blessed to grow up in a Christian home. At the age of 17 he received Jesus into his heart as his personal Lord and Savior. Soon he felt the calling to go into full-time Christian service. From 1950-1954 he attended bible school and seminary in Orebro, Sweden. After graduating he married Mona Sjoberg and together they served some small and some bigger churches. Bertil had a heart for the smaller congregations which could not afford a pastor. He worked other jobs to support the family. God blessed them with four wonderful children: Sam, Noomie, Dave, and Mike. They became involved in the ministry at young ages and formed a singing group. In December 1972 the family felt led by the Lord to immigrate to the United States. Soon God opened doors for ministry here in the States. The children’s singing group was incorporated as “The Happiness Four” in 1975. The ministry has continued ever since. Two of the sons – Sam and Dave are already promoted to Glory. After being based in Van, Texas for many years the ministry has just relocated to Mora, Minnesota.
Bertil leaves behind his wife Mona Magnuson; a daughter Noomie Lindahl and her husband Dean; a son Mike Magnuson and his wife Lynette; four grandchildren Jordan, Stefan and Daniel Lindahl, Rachel Robinson and a great-granddaughter Savannah Robinson. Bertil also has a brother Bengt Magnusson along with nephews and nieces in Sweden.
