Ida (Sandy) De Rose, of St. Cloud, MN died on September 13, 2007 at Good Shepherd Community Home in Sauk Rapids, MN. She was 99 years old.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE and INTERMENT will be held on Saturday, September 15th, 10:00 A.M. at Benton County Cemetery in Sauk Rapids. Rev. Doug Larson will officiate.
Ida (Sandy) De Rose was the daughter of John and Julia (Sowa) Sandy. She married William H. De Rose on November 26, 1947. They lived in Denver for a short while before they moved to Kalispell, Montana, where they built and ran the San-Rose Motel for many years.
Ida, better known as Sandy to her friends, picked up the game of golf at the age of 65 and played for over 30 years. She loved the game and the friendships she made at the different courses she played. She also had a love to travel and visited a number of different countries.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill in 1974; and brothers and sisters Ed, Henry, Alfred, George, Walter, William, Lydia Miller, Helen Crites, Martha, Emily, Esther Dowdle, and Rhiney.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including John (Karen) Sandy of Mora.
