Lana Mattson died Sept. 4 at her home in Braham. She was 47 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICE 11 AM, Monday Sept. 10, 2007 at Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church. VISITATION Sunday Sept. 9 from 2 to 4 pm at Rock – Ingebrand Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Lana Rae Mattson, of Braham, Minnesota, passed away peacefully in her home in the early morning hours on September 4th, 2007. She was 47 years old.

Lana was born on September 10th, 1959 in Braham, MN to Lyle and Lorraine (Anderson) Southerland. The youngest of three siblings, she was baptized and confirmed at Braham Evangelical Lutheran Church in Braham, attended Braham Schools and graduated in 1978. In 1983 Lana graduated from Pine Technical College with a degree in Accounting and began her 23 years of work at East Central Energy in Braham. She married Craig Mattson on March 9th, 1984 in Coon Rapids Minnesota, to that union one child was born and Craig’s two children were accepted as her own. Craig and Lana lived on their horse farm outside of Braham for the remainder of Lana’s life. Lana enjoyed many trips to Minnesota’s north shore and time spent horseback riding on trails in many state parks. Her daughter Crystal was the light of her life and as she put it “The wind beneath her wings”. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lyle and Lorraine. Lana is survived by her husband Craig of Braham; children Crystal Mattson of Braham, Chuck (Heidi) Mattson of Isanti and Jami (Jason) Wilking of Isanti; grandchildren Reiley & Cyrus Mattson, Clay & Reese Wilking; brothers Larry Southerland, Lee (Donna) Southerland, nieces Cyndi Norberg and Leah Southerland, special friend Julie Brunck as well as other relatives and friends.

    Craig, my deepest sympathies. As you know Lana and I grew up together and I have great memories of those days. My thoughts are with you.
