____________________________________

Lisa Marie VanderVegt was born on January 17, 1984 in Mora, Minnesota to Christine Phiffer and Donald VanderVegt. She attended Ogilvie Public Schools. Lisa’s dreams were her love for Travis and to become an LPN. At the present time she was working as a nursing assistant at the Elim Nursing Home in Princeton.

Things that made Lisa happy were fishing (trying to out fish’ everyone else). She loved 4-wheeling with her cousins and uncles. Lisa enjoyed camping and especially spending time and fishing with her grandpa and grandma. She always made everyone laugh when she came into the room.

We will all miss this very special angel that God gave us for a short time that she was with us.

Lisa is survived by her father Donald VanderVegt of Ogilvie; mother Christine Phiffer of Victorville, CA; sisters Nichole VanderVegt and Tamara Phiffer both of CA; maternal grandmother Carol Phiffer of Minneapolis; paternal grandparents Hank and Betty VanderVegt of Milaca; her very special friend Travis; plus many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

To those who knew and loved Lisa my deepest sympathies go out to you all. Lisa’s life has touched many and no one who knew this wonderful woman would have anything bad to say about her. She loved life and lived it well. In her untimely passing is the ever-present reminder that life is fleeting. I would like to take a brief moment to personally thank Lisa for teaching me to be a better person. I will continue to live my life as she did, to it’s fullest, and touch others with the same positive attitude and energy that we all remember her for. Goodbye Lisa and gods speed. I will look for your sweet smile when the time for all of us to reunite comes. Until that day we all have one more angel watching over us. Peace be with all of us who journey on in the shadow of loved ones lost. May your path through this life be filled with joy and passion. ~Brad

A year is drawing near, and I reflect on my feelings of sorrow, sadness, tears, and anger. All I can do is ask that God and Lisa will give me strength as I go from day to day- that I will one day feel happiness again. Watch over us all and keep us safe I pray. You are with me in my heart.
I love you and I know you are with me each and every day.
    Love Mommy

My dearest Lisa…I am stopping by here today because my thoughts of you are so strong. People tell me that it will slowly get easier as time goes on but it is not true. The emptiness and the feeling of great sadness and loss follows me each and everyday. I need you to take my hand and walk with me each and every day until we are together again. I need you to help me feel at peace again. I love you so much and I miss hearing your voice and your calls every day. Life just isn’t suppose to be this way.
I love you and miss you
