bos.jpgWilliam Bos died on Monday, May 21, 2007 at the VA Hospital in Mpls. He was 71 years old.

FUNERAL SERVICES Friday, May 25th at 11:00 A.M. New Hope Christian Reform Church in Ogilvie. Visitation Thursday, May 24 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.

William “Willie” Bos was born on February 11, 1936 in Ireton, Iowa to Gerrit and Johanna (Patsaterson) Bos. He spent part of his childhood in Iowa, then moved to Minnesota in 1943 where he farmed with his family. He joined the U.S. Army in 1954 at the age of 18. He served for 6 years and was honorably discharged.

He married Carol (Schra) in 1958. They moved to Ogilvie where they farmed. They had 5 children. Willie drove truck for over 30 years. He loved fishing with his son, brothers and nephews in Canada and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his yard. He also enjoyed family get-togethers and visiting while enjoying coffee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Fred and an infant brother.

He is survived by his wife Carol; five children Cindy Peterson of Mpls., Brenda (Paul) Crowl of Wagoner OK, Connie (Joel) Patnode of Milaca, Cheryl Bos (Dennis Kunst) of Ogilvie, and Scott Bos of Ogilvie; 12 grandchildren Nathan, Mark, DJ, Dannielle, Jennifer, Josh, Jordan, Cyle, Ashley, Clinten, Kirstie, Zach; 3 great grandchildren Kyla, Maddison, Britany; 7 sisters Gert (Hank) tenCate of Ogilvie, Johanna VanGunst of Mpls., Mina (Harry) Robyn of Worthington, Andrea (Marty) DeBoer of Mora, Margaret Bos of Aitkin, Mary Douglas of Minnetonka, and Ruth (Jerry) Fenus of Ogilvie; 4 brothers Gerrit (Sylvia) Bos of Worthington, John (Elsie) Bos of Chino, CA, Hank (Arlene) Bos of Mora, David (Deann) Bos of Ogilvie; sister-in-law Beth Bos of Ogilvie; along with many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
